Cry Before Dawn: “Live At The Opera House” Launch
2011 saw Cry Before Dawn respond to fan pressure to reform for a tour, which took place throughout the summer months. The tour was a massive success, including sold out concerts in Dublin’s Vicar St and two nights at Wexford’s Opera House, as well as festival appearances at London Feis and Electric Picnic, sharing the bill with acts like Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and other greats.
To follow on from the success of the tour, and to launch the release of a new album “Live At The Opera House” recorded over the two Wexford shows in May, the band will play a weekend of special dates in December (see Facebook page for details and updates). This initial limited edition issue of the album will be on sale exclusively at the gigs, and at a later date the album will be available online.
“Live At The Opera House” is a fully independent production by the band, with guitarist Steve Belton handling the production and mixing, and artwork by keyboard player Dara Munnis. Both musicians will again join founding members Brendan Wade, Vinnie Doyle and Pat Hayes on stage for the December shows.
